Frank Hurd Band

Attracting Listeners from Nashville and beyond

Frank Hurd Band is a “pop/rock/Americana band” formed in Elon, North Carolina, now based in Nashville, TN. The group consists of Frank Hurd (vocals, guitar), Michael Lobacz (guitar, bass), Jake Valente (drums), and Eric Valente (guitar, bass).  The band’s songs tastefully explore timeless and familiar themes, melodically swaying across genre lines.  “Good music tends to simply inspire the listener to truly feel, think, or remember,” says Hurd. “Most of our favorite songs do all of those things so that’s what we aim for with our music.”

Hurd and the band have performed at festivals such as MerleFest and Tin Pan South while regularly writing, producing, and releasing new material. Their most recent single, “Who I Thought You Were,” caught the attention of several Spotify playlist curators and accrued over 50,000 listens in its first month.

The band's recently spent time in the studio working on new material.  "We have a handful of singles planned for release this year and we're already working on some more new tunes.  I feel like we're exploring new boundaries with most of these songs.  They're all distinct in various ways, yet they each speak to who we are as a unit" says guitarist Michael Lobacz.
